Keep This Vital Outreach Going?
Amistad International needs your help. We depend on the generosity
of people like you who enable us to fund our ever-expanding outreach
programs. Funds are urgently needed for the following programs.
The Conroy F. Donesky Memorial Fund for the Huichol Indian Flying
Clinic
Needed: $36,000 to operate the 2008 flying clinic including plane
maintenance, fuel, emergency airlifts, medicines, three daily
meal programs for Huichol school children.
Mongolia: The Nairamdal (friendship) Project
Needs: Literacy and math classes and food for 40 Gobi desert children.
20 cents per day to feed one student one meal. Teachers are paid
$50 salary per month each.
India: Buddha’s Smile School, Varanasi
Urgent need: New classrooms, van/bus, computer lab, text books,
medicines, night shelter for vulnerable at-risk students.
Zimbabwe: Paula Leen’s Muwira Orphanage
Food
programs and gardening/water projects.
South Africa: Lambano Sanctuary
Urgent need to complete the construction of a hospice for terminally
ill babies with AIDS.
Kenya: Micro-enterprise Loans for Small Businesses
Kenya: Amri School for Impoverished Students and AIDS Orphans
Includes a daily meal for students and modest stipends for teachers.
